Editorial
Atomica Magazine 2009
From the original idea of future; the Futurist movement in Italy of the early 1920’s, we touch upon the rise of the super imposed strength of man and his machines under a vast background of space images; an infinite frontier of discovery. Our images, rather than move forward in the clean surreal minimalism of a pristine world, embark on an idea much reminiscence in films like 1982’s Bladerunner; a play on our hopes for the progressive future, whilst taking notice of the garbage of decades that reside beneath it.
