Getting Lost, Finding Something

TUSCH X PINK VALLEY
Villa Heike
Freienwalder Str.17 13055 Berlin

premiere: July 4th, 2024 6pm
show dates: July 5th, 2024 10am/ 2pm
                        July 5th, 2024 2pm/ 6pm

An interactive performance where I was invited to create textiles, headpieces and costumes inspired by microrganism worlds, in the natural archetypes of Neutron, Electron, Proton orbiting performers representing Science, The Universe, Alien Life, Fungi, Fauna and Dark Matter. I worked with a range of printed fabrics, made to glow under changing lighting circumstances. Theses flexible garments were then paired with hand-made and embellished capes, accessories and suitable headpieces.

“Getting lost Finding something” is a TUSCH co-production in cooperation with Pink Valley, supported by the Fonds Soziokultur, the Heidehofstiftung and the Stiftung Berliner Sparkasse

Prodution Synopsis:

Everything in this world and in the universe is connected, but can we feel it? Together with the performance collective Pink Valley and a group of young people, we want to transform “connection”, “network” and “belonging” into a multisensory experience for the audience: How do we find, feel and experience connection and relationships between places, times and people? What do we feel when we look at the world from a little more distance? Or zoom in on the microorganism perspective? The aim of our joint creative research is to produce an interactive video and sound performance with live elements in which we deal with central aspects of interconnectivity, such as “seeing”, “feeling” and “practicing”, in terms of content, aesthetics, science and performance.

In Loving Memory Of...

MAGNOLIA FUNERAL SERVICE
date: September 5th, 2023

It is a truly meaningful experience to create artwork on the topic of remebering  a human. Gathering insights and memories from loved ones, and doing your best to capture the essence of the recently deceased  in physical, tactile form is an honoring process. Five podium artworks were created based on five songs that were  interpreted for all funeral attendees to remember the deceased by. Our intent was to assist in the greiving process, our efforts were to create artwork that celebrates a life.

FRAGILE WORLDS

KLEBEBANDE
Art Installation
installation date: July 15, 2021

A large wall installation developed in Munich, Germany, representing the fragility of an earth living in the era of Climate Change. Composed of my signature feathers & leaves, this artwork is developed in typical earth colors and arranged in a heart line formation. A knowing that mass extinction is just a thin line away from becoming reality if humanity continues to extract without giving back.

Medium; paper and paint

RIDER STORIES

Lacy Barry for Vanmoof
Artist Profile
Date: June 8th, 2021

In this project I’ve invited Vanmoof into my Berlin art studio where we begin a series of bicycle adventures in and around Berlin. I take to the streets on a Vanmoof S3 editon, while a camera crewcaptures my relationship with Berlin and how I transport myself around it. As an avid cyclist that I experience Berlin’s parks, streets and culture by bike, which has grown my love for the city, its nature, and fueled inspiration for my podcast Secret Place Berlin.

“I use my bike for everything! from picking up materials and groceries to attending exhibitions, events and the occasional adventure...cycling has always been a fun and environmentally friendly way to get around.”

Swarovski
Paper Crafted Pop-up Cards
Event date: September 13th, 2019

For the opening of Light Artist Susanne Rottenbacher‘s exhibition Lily Pond at the Swarovski Kristallwelten in Innsbruck, Austria, I designed, developed and produced fifty pop-up cards exposing a miniature rendition the artist’s lily flower and garnishing lily pads against the galleries mirrored arches. Working closely with Susanne’s preferred shapes and iconic iridescent foil, I used a thin PVC that mimicked the clear vinyl glass of the actual life sized art installation. Each card finished with Swarovski crystals and fastened with a satin ribbon bow to be placed on plates as a memorable keepsake for guests of an illuminating evening.
